Stay tuned for a yin yoga & brunch workshop in March, as I am taking my Yin Yoga Teacher certification this month!

Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga. The Yin aspect of Yoga uses long-held relaxed floor postures to stretch and stimulate the deep connective tissues of the body.

Fall Yoga Happenings

Fall is definitely in the air. Crisp and cool mornings, bright coloured leaves at my feet. I'm pulling out my cozy sweaters and fuzzy socks, packing away sandals and sundresses.

I'm currently substitute teaching with Yogacara Studio and Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club this fall.

Later this month, I will teach a CHAIR-ity chair yoga class for the United Way at my work.

For now, connecting again with my own practice in the early mornings, trying to find space and balance during this busy period.

Equinox Detox Flow - September 28

Autumn is a good time for a cleanse that will strengthen your immunity for the colder months and prepare your body for the slower energies of winter.
Yoga can help with this cleansing process through several ways, such as stimulating your endocrine system, improving your circulation, stimulating your digestion and calming your nervous system.
A series of postures can help the detoxification process by flushing out toxins in the body. Certain breathing exercises can purify the chest, the head and the lower body region. And through meditation, we also clear our head space of thought patterns that no longer serve us.
Join me for a rejuvenating class, during which we will incorporate breathing exercises and a sequence of postures that will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed, ready to greet your busy autumn season!
Location: 1707 Grant Street @ Commercial – Eastside Yoga
Date and time: Sunday, Sept. 28, 11:00am-12:00pm
Wellness investment: $10 (+brunch expenses)
What do I need to bring? Please bring water, a yoga mat, and a sweater/shawl for relaxation.
If you are free, we can all go out for brunch on the Drive afterwards.
*If you don't have a yoga mat, let me now ahead of time and we can arrange something.
See you soon!
